Our founder, Aidan Raney, has always been a problem-solver. As a kid, he hacked into his local library’s computers just to get more time online—a story that led to an FBI visit to his small town. But that was only the beginning. Today, Aidan is the owner and operator of Farnsworth Intelligence, a digital intelligence service known for getting results where others can’t....
His big break came during his time as a software developer when he uncovered a massive phishing ring. He didn’t stop at finding just clues—he traced the entire operation to its mastermind. It was a turning point. In that moment, Aidan realized he had to switch paths and dedicate himself to intelligence work. It wasn’t long before he traded software development for a career focused on protecting people from hidden digital threats.
Aidan founded Farnsworth Intelligence to help others see what they can’t. Today, he’s at the forefront of digital intelligence, tracking down crypto scammers, dismantling human trafficking networks, and teaching others how to navigate the digital underworld responsibly. His work is guided by his values: honesty, integrity, transparency, and equity.
Aidan’s drive to be the best comes from his late parents, David and Lisa Farnsworth, who were trailblazers in their own right. His father, David, was a nuclear physicist who worked for the intelligence community, while his mother, Lisa, engineered lasers for high-tech motherboard production.
Clients turn to Aidan and his network of experts because he never stops at the surface—he digs until he finds the truth. Every case is personal to him, and no two days are the same. We start with the clearweb, deepweb, and darkweb; but we go much further than that. Our team takes advantage of every source of digital data that we can find, even beyond traditional OSINT; from data breaches and leaks, to infostealer logs, to open file servers, to public records, to unlisted Google Drive files, to FOI/FOIA requests. We can even use HUMINT techniques like social engineering and custom honeypots for a case when needed and legally authorized.
